TOLEDO—St. Patrick of Heatherdowns is beginning what has been called the fastest growing Catholic Bible study in existence.
Facilitated by Father Dennis Walsh, pastor of St. Patrick, “The Great Adventure,” begins at 1:20 p.m. Jan. 6. The Bible study continues at the same time each week for a total of eight weeks.
The cost of the program is $36 per person (or per couple) and includes a binder of materials and other resources.
The program offers the opportunity to encounter God’s word through methods taught in “The Great Adventure Foundational Study Series,” using DVDs, CDs, workbooks and other materials.
The series addresses:
- God’s plan for salvation and how each person’s faith story fits into His-story;
- the 14 narrative books in the Bible and the 12 major time periods of salvation history and how they fit in with the other 59 books of the Bible;
- the major people, places, events and themes of God’s plan of salvation; and
- the six covenants God made with humanity that lead to the establishment of the Catholic Church.
