SYLVANIA—Lourdes College in Sylvania has appointed Kimberly Grieve to serve as its newly established dean of students.
As dean, Dr. Grieve will ensure students have full access to the range of programs and services available to assist them in achieving both personal and academic success. The dean of students is to oversee Lourdes’ Accessibility Services, Career Services, Counseling Services and the TRiO programs. Additionally, she will co-direct the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Services.
Dr. Grieve has worked for Lourdes College for the last 16 years in a variety of capacities including Director for Disability Services, TRiO and the Upward Bound program. She has been instrumental in obtaining a number of grants that benefit TRiO Student Support Services and TRiO Upward Bound programs. Her dedication to furthering these programs has allowed more than 800 individuals who are first generation college students, low-income and/or disabled, to receive additional support while attending Lourdes College.
Dr. Grieve earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in education and a doctorate in higher education from the University of Toledo.
“I am really excited to have someone of Dr. Grieve’s experience assisting with the day-to-day operations of the College,” said Roseanne Gill-Jacobson, vice president of student services. “Her commitment to students will only make Lourdes a stronger institution.”
