Lourdes College names women’s volleyball coach |

SYLVANIA—Lourdes College has announced Greg Reitz is to coach its inaugural Gray Wolves women’s volleyball team this fall.
Mr. Reitz, formerly an associate head women’s volleyball coach for the University of Toledo, is also to serve as admissions coordinator for the Catholic college.
“As a player and coach, Greg has built strong ties within northwest Ohio’s professional volleyball community,” notes Roseanne Gill-Jacobson, vice president for student services. “His familiarity with the community, knowledge of the game and leadership experience will truly be an asset to developing the Lourdes College athletic program.”
In addition to the University of Toledo, Mr. Reitz has coached volleyball for the University of Texas and Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana. He also taught at the collegiate level for Bowling Green State University, Saint Joseph’s College and the University of Toledo. He holds an Associate of Arts in Education from Goldenwest College in Huntington Beach, Calif., a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from California State University and a Master of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Toledo.
Mr. Reitz is a former member of the Long Beach State University and Goldenwest College volleyball teams and played at the professional level for the Association of Volleyball Professionals, Midwest Professional Volleyball Association and USA Indoor Volleyball teams. He recently traveled to Russia and the Ukraine as part of the Athletes in Action international volleyball team. Athletes in Action, a branch of Campus Crusade for Christ, is a global pioneer, innovator and servant leader in sport ministry.
