SYLVANIA—Lourdes College’s annual scholarship fundraising event, Luminations, begins at 6 p.m. April 25 in the Franciscan Theater and Conference Center. Chairman and CEO of Owens-Illinois Inc. Al Stroucken and his wife Gerda are serving as honorary chairpersons for the event.

The evening begins with a cocktails and hors d’oeuvres reception with live music by the Toledo Symphony Jazz Trio as well as the kick-off of the silent auction. At 8 p.m. a performing arts gala features the Toledo Ballet, Toledo School for the Arts, Toledo Symphony and Broadway actor Tim Shew’s wife and son. Following the performance gala, desserts and after dinner drinks are to be served.

Tickets for the black-tie event are $125 per person. All proceeds benefit student scholarships at Lourdes College. Since its inception in 2001, Luminations has raised approximately $800,000 to directly benefit students.

Sponsors for this year’s event include: platinum sponsor Owens-Illinois and gold sponsors Fifth Third Bank, Muir Graphics, ProMedica, the Sisters of St. Francis and Thread Information Design.
