SYLVANIA—With the theme, “I make all things new,” (Rv 21: 5a) the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania conducted their Chapter of Affairs April 6-9.

The Chapter of Affairs, which sets policy and direction for the congregation, is held every four years and gathers sister delegates from 12 of the 13 states and the country of Haiti, where the sisters minister.

The Chapter of Affairs was immediately followed by the Chapter of Elections, which designates the leadership team for 2008-2012. The following were elected: Sister Diana Lynn Eckel, congregational minister; Sister Mary Jon Wagner, assistant congregational minister; Sister Nancy Linenkugel, councilor; and Sister Patricia Gardner, councilor.

Sr. Eckel, who was re-elected to a second four-year term as congregational minister said, “I am humbled by the support and affirmation extended to me by my sisters.”

The installation of the new leadership team is June 29 in Queen of Peace Chapel, Sylvania.
