SYLVANIA—The sixth annual Science Alliance for Valuing the Earth (SAVE) walk-a-thon is to be held May 9 on the grounds of Lourdes College in Sylvania.
A day of activities and fun for the whole family is planned, rain or shine. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Franciscan Theatre & Conference Center, with the walk starting at 9 a.m. Registration is $20 for families and $10 for individual walkers. During the event participants can win door prizes and raffle prizes, tour the Life Lab and enjoy light refreshments.
Proceeds benefit the Lourdes College Life Lab’s summer science camp by providing scholarships for underserved students in grades 5 through 10 and seasonal educational field classes. For more information and to obtain a registration form, contact Sylvania Franciscan Sister Rosine Sobczak, Life Lab director, at 419-824-3691.
