The students used sign language to interpret the Our Father as it was set to music. Teacher Hollie Crockett taught the students sign language in the classroom as a way to discuss diversity and learn everyone is different in some way. The students said they liked learning sign language because they like learning a new language and it helps them talk to other people.
Bishop Leonard P. Blair, who celebrated the Mass, thanked the students and their families for attending the Mass and said they did a wonderful job. He requested the third-graders join him for a photo after Mass.
