FOSTORIA—The Fostoria St. Wendelin Elementary School library has been renovated to provide a more student-friendly environment for reading, class events and activities.

Through this project a reading circle, new circulation counter, shelving and updated technology have been installed.

Students can now listen to stories and read for enjoyment from a reading circle. Carpeted steps with theater seating offers students a comfortable viewing area for storytelling and reading.

A new circulation counter and shelving have also been installed to enhance the storage of books and appearance.

Technology has been updated to include school library automation through INFOHIO, a statewide cooperative school library and information network for the students in the state of Ohio, to promote information literacy.

The ultimate goal of the renovation is to empower students, teachers and staff to continue the process of becoming lifelong learners.

The project was partially funded through the United Way of Fostoria.
