TOLEDO—Gary Snyder has been named as the new athletic director for Notre Dame Academy and Junior Academy.
He starts the job June 1 to allow for a summer transition period. Mr. Snyder, known in the Notre Dame Academy community, understands the school’s mission and brings to the position a variety of experience including seven years of high school coaching in soccer with six years at Notre Dame

Academy. A former high school and a three-year collegiate soccer player, he understands the life of the student-athlete.
A graduate of The University of Toledo (UT) College of Law, Mr. Snyder did extensive research and work in National Collegiate Athletic Association compliance as well as working with prospective-student athletes, current student-athletes, coaches and athletic programs. The administration and compliance knowledge gained through this externship at UT, along with his working familiarity of OHSAA rules and regulations will serve as an asset to him in the position.
