Paige Roback to play volleyball at EMU

TOLEDO—Notre Dame Academy (NDA) volleyball outside hitter and senior Paige Roback signed to play for Eastern Michigan University (EMU).

She received a full-ride scholarship valued at more than $90,000 for four years.

Paige was recently named First Team, All State. During her senior year she was team co-captain, First Team, All City, City League Player of the Year and First Team, All District. She helped take the NDA Eagles to the district finals. She recently hit another career milestone reaching 1,000 kills and breaking the Notre Dame school record.

Paige was also selected by USA Volleyball as one of 12 All Americans based on her outstanding performance at the Junior Olympic (JO) National Volleyball Championship in Miami Beach, Fla. Her JO team, the Ohio Elite, earned a silver medal out of 48 teams from all over the country competing at the 17 American age level Gold Division and had only one loss to the championship California team.

Since her freshman year at NDA, Paige has earned numerous honors. As a freshman varsity starter she was Special Mention, All City. During her sophomore year the Eagles were City League and District Champions and she was First Team, All City; Second Team, All District; and named Team Offensive Most Valuable Player. In her junior year she helped lead the Eagles to a City League Champion and District Runner Up and earned First Team, All City; First Team, All District; and Second Team, All State honors. She was also named City League Player of the Year and Team Most Valuable Player as well as setting a school record with 33 kills in one match. She has played Club Volleyball for seven years competing for the Toledo Volleyball Club, Oiler Attack, and Ohio Elite. She was named to the Ohio Valley Region High Performance Team both freshman and sophomore year.

In addition to volleyball, Paige is an honor student, involved in the Pep Club, and enjoys making jewelry. She volunteers her talents at Eagle volleyball camps coaching young talent. She also has tutored children for Wauseon Schools. She is the daughter of William and Ronda Roback of Maumee.
