The event featured 13 priests from the Diocese of Toledo who acted as celebrity chefs for the evening. The priests who volunteered their culinary talents were Msgr. Michael Billian, Msgr. Marvin Borger, Msgr. Dennis Metzger, Msgr. William Kubacki, Msgr. Charles Singler, Oblate of St. Francis de Sales Father Ron Olszewski, Father Joseph Weigman, Father Robert Wilhelm, Father Dan Zak, Father Eric Schild, Father Kent Kaufman, Father Dave Cirata and Father Chuck Denny.
Three hundred guests enjoyed interacting with the priests and Little Sisters at the large chef bar that included a variety of foods, from caprese salad, chicken, carved beef and pork tenderloins to rotini and bowtie pastas in three different sauces.
The event featured the culinary arts of the Pinnacle staff and the celebrity chefs, who each volunteered their services to prepare their signature dishes for the guests.
Live entertainment was supplied by the St. John’s Jesuit Jazz Band.
A unique part of the evening was a live auction of three celebrity chef dinners. Msgr. Metzger, Msgr. Billian and the partnership of Fr. Zak and Fr. Wilhelm each volunteered to cook a special dinner for 10 people to be served at a future date at the Pinnacle.
Mark Thees, owner of the Pinnacle, acted as auctioneer and solicited high bids for these dinner packages. The guests also had the opportunity to bid on silent auction items, as well as many surprise mystery boxes gift wrapped for the occasion.
