Peggy Ricard from TMACOG and Rotary Club of Toledo President Eric Fankhauser were in attendance and handed the van keys to Little Sister of the Poor Cecilia Sartorius, local superior.

The total cost of the new vehicle was $37,951, with 80 percent of the cost being covered by the ODOT grant and the other 20 percent paid for by the Rotary Foundation of Toledo.

The modified minivan is able to accommodate residents in wheelchairs and may be driven by the sisters and the staff of the Sacred Heart Home. The vehicle serves the daily transportation needs of the elderly residents, such as traveling to medical appointments, physical therapy and other appointments.

“This new transport vehicle was badly needed and is truly a blessing,” says Sr. Sartorius.
