CCMT hosts successful celebrity wait night

TOLEDO—Central City Ministry of Toledo’s annual celebrity wait night netted at least $35,000 to support tuition assistance for students who attend its two campuses in the central city.

More than 400 people filled the Real Seafood Restaurant for the event Oct. 24. Guests were served by 45 celebrity waiters including Bishop Leonard P. Blair, Father Monte Hoyles, Bernie and Anne Heinl, Dr. Blaine and Debbie Keigley, Kate Savage, Dr. Ed and Donna Posluszny, Nancy Smythe, Dan and Lynn Anderson, Notre Dame Sister Carol Gregory, Father Tony Gallagher, Msgr. William Kubacki, Bill and Cathy Carroll, Hal and Kelly Reed and Tom Shields.

Waiter Kathy Martin entertained her group of 26 co-workers and friends from Directions Credit Union with games and stories, and Queen of Apostles principal Notre Dame Sister Brenda Haynes dressed in orange and passed out Halloween candy to her guests.

CCMT provides a faith-based, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade education to 420 students at its Rosary Cathedral and Queen of Apostles campuses in the central city.
