Catholic-Muslim Dialogue offers free program

TOLEDO—A free program in which a panel of speakers is to discuss “Principles of Interpretation of Scripture (Exegesis and Tafsir) in Catholicism and Islam” begins at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at the University of Toledo Student Union Auditorium.

Panel discussion speakers are Amjad Hussain, professor emeritus of the University of Toledo Medical College, representing Islamic thought, and Geoffrey Grubb, Lourdes University professor of religious studies and dean of the school of arts and science, representing Catholic thought. The program is moderated by Najwa Badawi.

Sponsors of the free program are The Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs Commission of the Diocese of Toledo, the University of Toledo Muslim Student Association, Lourdes Arab American Student Association and the MultiFaith Council of Northwest Ohio.
