COLUMBUS—Four seminarians from the Diocese of Toledo earned their college degrees from the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus.

Austin Ammannitti, David Kidd, Jeffery Smith and Joseph Tumasian participated in the 112th baccalaureate Mass and commencement exercises at the Josephinum May 7.
Mr. Ammanniti, from Bellevue Immaculate Conception, is the son of Christine and Robert Ammanniti. He earned a bachelor of arts degree, with a major in philosophy, graduating cum laude.
Mr. Kidd, from Lima St. Charles Borromeo, is the son of Kathleen and Kevin Kidd. He earned a bachelor of arts degree, with a major in philosophy, graduating summa cum laude.
Mr. Smith, from Tiffin St. Mary, is the son of Elaine and James Smith. He earned a bachelor of arts degree, with a major in philosophy.
Mr. Tumasian, from Toledo St. Catherine, is the son of Donna and Mike McNamee. He earned a bachelor of arts degree, with a major in classics and philosophy, graduating magna cum laude.
Degrees were conferred by Father James Wehner, rector of the seminary. Thirty-five seminarians from 13 different dioceses were granted degrees from the Josephinum’s College of Liberal Arts, pre-theology program and School of Theology. A bachelor of arts degree was awarded to 20 seminarians, while nine other seminarians earned a bachelor of philosophy or a certificate of achievement in philosophical and theological studies.
All four Toledo seminarians are continuing their formation toward the diocesan priesthood and will be attending schools of theology this fall.
