The National Catholic Rural Life Conference is offering consulting services to rural communities seeking Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) grants.
The CCHD program was created 40 years ago by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to provide funding to groups of low-income people who are empowered to address the causes of poverty in their communities. Nearly 8,000 grants have been awarded to community groups that seek justice and to create lasting change for people in poverty.
Local and national grants have helped low-income day care centers, legal advocacy, environmental justice, affordable housing and online marketplaces and cooperatives for small artisans and growers.
The National Catholic Rural Life Conference provides education and consulting to rural organizations interested in applying for CCHD grant funds and can assist throughout the application process.
Visit www.ncrlc.com to find details on grant guidelines, success stories, grant writing resources, links to CCHD application guides, webinars and more. CCHD applications are available Sept. 1, and are due by Nov. 1.
