A number of parishes, schools and youth groups from the Diocese of Toledo are to travel by bus and van to the 39th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.
The march is to be held Jan. 23 in opposition of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. The event, which draws tens of thousands of people each year, begins on the Washington Mall and proceeds to the United States Supreme Court.
The following information has been provided to the diocesan Catholic Charities Respect Life Office regarding groups that are to participate in the march.

The Bellevue Immaculate Conception youth group is to arrive early and go to the “Life is Very Good” Mass and concert with Joshua Blakesley in Arlington Jan. 22 and the Youth Rally and Mass at the D.C. Armory the morning of Jan 23. Contact Brenda Hickey at 419-217-3749 for more information.
A bus of university students and parishioners is leaving from Bowling Green St. Thomas More. The group is to attend the National Prayer Vigil Mass for Life at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washingon, D.C., tour the city and participate in the March for Life. The cost is $75. Juniors, seniors and adult chaperones have filled one bus from Delphos St. John High School is filling one bus with juniors, seniors and adult chaperones.

Toledo Central Catholic High School students are traveling by bus and are to visit the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and government sites. Contact Rachel Hunyor at 419-255-2280.
Oregon Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School students are to participate in a “Life is Very Good” Mass and concert with Matt Maher in Arlington and Youth Rally and Mass for Life at the D.C. Armory. Contact Clare Smith at 419-693-0465.
One bus has been filled by organizers at Paulding Divine Mercy. Participants are to tour the city and attend the Youth Rally and Mass for Life at the D.C. Armory.
Members of Port Clinton Immaculate Conception and Marblehead St. Joseph are traveling together. The trip includes a visit to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and a tour of the city. The cost is $160 with breakfast. Contact Judy Geiger at 419-797-2586.
St. George Deanery parishioners are to travel together to the March for Life. The trip includes visits to Smithsonian museums and the National Prayer Vigil Mass for Life at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Youth groups from Toledo St. Joan of Arc and St. Catherine of Siena, Perrysburg St. Rose, Maumee St. Joseph and Sandusky St. Mary are to travel together in three buses. The trip includes the “Life is Very Good” concert with Joshua Blakesley and a trip to the Arlington National Cemetary.
The diocesan Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry Offfce is taking youth on a bus for two nights. The cost is $176 and includes a tour of the city. Contact Deacon Jerry Ziemkiewicz at 419-244-6711, ext. 139.
