Adrian Dominican Sister Mary Incarnata Hlavac, formerly Anna Veronica Hlavac, died June 26 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Mich., in her 78th year of religious profession. Born in Cleveland to Rudolph and Anna (Kullack) Hlavac, Sr. Hlavac received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science from Siena Heights (College) University in Adrian, and her Master of Education Degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland. She spent 45 years ministering in education in Michigan and Ohio, and in the Diocese of Toledo she taught at Toledo Blessed Sacrament. She also served as a pastoral minister at St. Catherine Parish in Cleveland and ministered to the elderly at Fedor Manor in Lakewood, Ohio. Sr. Hlavac is survived by a brother, Rudolph Hlavac, in Bedford, Ohio. She was preceded in death by an aunt, Sister Mary Thecla Kullak, who was also an Adrian Dominican Sister.
