Bryan Knights celebrate blessing of Catholic radio tower

BRYAN—The Knights of Columbus Council 1915 of Bryan welcomed Catholic radio to the communities of northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana with the July 21 blessing of a broadcasting tower for WRRO 89.9 FM, Redeemer Radio.

After blessing the tower in Edon, Ohio, Bishop Leonard P. Blair of Toledo celebrated with supporters at the Bryan Knights of Columbus Council 1915 Hall.

Bishop Blair described the Knights as “faithful, dedicated, generous, ordinary Catholics who want to really promote the life of the church because they want to bring people to Christ … and that is a great sign of hope for our future.”

The program also included statements from Damian Dorsten, past Grand Knight of Council 1915, Chris Roberts, current Grand Knight, Mike Kurvivial, council member, Mike Landrigan, board chair for Redeemer Radio, and Sally Oberski, director of communications for the Diocese of Toledo.
