TIFFIN—The Sisters of St. Francis of Tiffin received two novices in August.

Sister Marcia Faustina Boes

Marcia Boes, daughter of Francis and Rose Boes of Upper Sandusky Transfiguration of the Lord, was received as Sister Marcia Faustina during a vespers service Aug. 5 at St. Francis Convent Chapel.

Sr. Boes was most recently employed by the Benton-Carroll-Salem School System as an elementary music teacher. She is to participate in the Franciscan Common Novitiate in St. Louis with five other novices.

Lourdes Toribio was received as Sister María de Lourdes during a vespers service August 30 in La Trinitaria, Chiapas, Mexico. Sr. Toribio has been living as a candidate with the sisters who currently minister in Cuernavaca and La Trinitaria. She attended candidate classes in Mexico City for the past two years. Sr. Toribio is the first Tiffin Franciscan novice in Mexico.
