Sister Mary Bernard Grote, 50 years As Rose Marie Grote, Sr. Grote was a member of the former Toledo St. Ann. She entered the Visitation Monastery in 1958 after spending three and a half years with the Tiffin Franciscan Sisters. Sr. Grote made her solemn profession April 30, 1960. Over the years, she has been employed in most offices of the community, primarily as novice mistress, infirmarian and is presently serving a third triennial as superior of the Visitation Monastery.
Sister Maria Consuelo Gonzales, 50 years Sr. Gonzales, formerly Ramona, was born of Mexican-American parents on April 4, 1940, in New Braunfel, Texas. The family moved to Toledo around 1943, and Sr. Gonzales is the oldest of 11 children. She grew up in Toledo Our Lady of Lourdes and entered the convent of the Sylvania Franciscan Sisters on June 6, 1954. She served the community as a teacher for a few years and then more than 30 years as a nurse and 12 years as a hospital chaplain. Sr. Gonzales transferred to the Monastery of the Visitation Aug. 31, 2005, and made her solemn profession as a Visitandine Sept. 14, 2007. She serves as the community infirmarian and is one of the community’s councilors.
Sister Georgianna Jablonski, 50 years Sr. Jablonski was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Chicago. On Aug. 15, 1958, she entered the Carmelite Monastery in Salt Lake City, where she lived for 24 years. Sr. Jablonski entered the Visitation Monastery in Toledo on April 15, 1982, and made her solemn vows Oct. 18, 1988. She has served in various offices, including sacristan, aide in the Host Room and Habit Room and linen keeper, sewing for the community since 1996.
