CAREY—A special program to begin Christian Unity Week is being hosted at Carey Our Lady of Consolation at 4 p.m. Jan. 23.

The topics include the church’s history, the miracles that have taken place there, what it means to be a basilica and more. Visitors may also have a guided tour of the shrine, which is a pilgrimage site visited by thousands of Christians every year.

A question and answer session and light refreshments follow in the Shrine Cafeteria.

In the event of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled to 4 p.m. Jan. 30.
