PERRYSBURG—Pro-life organizations throughout the area are convening April 10 for the third annual Northwest Ohio Life Fair from 1-4 p.m. at Perrysburg St. Rose School. This free event is open to the public.
“Our purpose is to serve as a local information resource for anyone interested in becoming active in pro-life advocacy,” says Ann Barrick, life fair organizer and founder of ProLifeConnection.
“The right to life is the most fundamental of all social justice issues,” she adds. “We’re hoping that people will come and familiarize themselves with the many pro-life activities that are taking place in our area, and the many organizations that initiate and support them.”
More than 20 pro-life groups are expected to participate, including pregnancy centers, Mom’s House, Right to Life groups, post-abortive help and more.
Speakers are to be on hand to give brief presentations, and booths will be occupied by each of the participating organizations. This year’s event features international pro-life speaker Rebecca Kiessling, author of “Conceived in Rape: From Worthless to Priceless.”
“I do hope that, as a child conceived in rape, I can help to put a face, a voice, and a story to this issue,” Mrs. Kiessling says.
“Even though the event is being held at a Catholic school, persons of all faiths — Christian or not — will be most welcome,” Mrs. Barrick says. “The pro-life issue transcends all religious, ethnic and political boundaries.”
