The event is to begin with a benediction service in the church, and is open to everyone who believes in the sanctity of life and concern for the unborn.
Following the benediction, participants are to march with members of the Knights of Columbus, local priests, pastors and deacons to the St. Joseph Cemetery on West Wayne Street, about one mile from the church. For those who cannot or do not wish to walk the route, a bus is to follow the march to provide round trip transportation.
For those who wish to stay in the church during the march, the rosary is to be prayed at that time. Nearly 200 people are expected to join in the march, which will take place in any weather. After the march, all are invited to a reception in the St. Joseph Community Center to celebrate the right to life.
This event coincides with the National March for Life in Washington, D.C., to which the St. Joseph Knights of Columbus chapter also funds a bus trip for area youth.
