Sylvania Franciscan Village hosts environmental series

SYLVANIA—The Sylvania Franciscan Village recently kicked off its Spring Environmental Series with a show in Lourdes University’s Appold Planetarium titled “Our Whirling Solar System: A Panorama of Beauty & Mystery.”

Follow-up presentations are scheduled March 15, 22 and 29, and are to be held at 9 a.m. at the Lial Renewal Center, Whitehouse, and at 4:30 p.m. at the Sylvania Franciscan Village. They include:

•  March 15: “The ‘Hidden Heart’ of the Universe — a Cosmic Experience”
• March 22: “Our Great Work — Humanity’s Role in the Universe Story”
• March 29: “Finding Hope for the Future: A New Way Forward”

Sylvania Franciscan Sister Rosine Sobczak, Lourdes University associate professor of biology and director of Life Lab, is to facilitate these sessions.
