The 1997-1998 Girls Basketball Team finished with a record of 25-2 and won City League, sectional, district and regional titles to advance to the state championships. They lost by just one point to Dayton Chaminade in the semi-final game. Coaches included Steve Pfahler, Marty McGurk and Kerri Stewart. The team manager was Lori Welch. He was the Fighting Irish boys varsity tennis coach from 1982 to 1983 and again from 2004 to 2008, compiling an overall record of 66-34. He also served as assistant tennis coach from 2000 to 2004.
