The Fighting Irish defeated the Port Clinton Redskins 4-0 in a Division II sectional semifinal varsity baseball game as Evan recorded eight strikeouts among the 21 batters he faced. Irish infielders had 12 putouts, and the only fly ball to make it past the infield was chased down in the fourth inning by sophomore center fielder Chad Kuebler.

Irish varsity baseball coach Jeff Mielcarek says this was the first perfect game by an Irish pitcher in his 26 years with the team.

Evan recently signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky.
