TOLEDO—The Notre Dame Academy Eagles finished fourth in the state in the Division I State Ohio Tennis Coaches Association (OTCA) Team Tournament.
The Toledo Notre Dame Eagles placed fourth in the state as part of the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association Team Tournament. This was the team’s fourth year in the tournament. The Eagles are part of the Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC).
The Eagle varsity team includes sophomore Nikita Ajmera, senior Abigail Born, freshman Jordon Cady, junior Lindsay Clark, junior Madelyn Denning, freshman Nina Eid, junior Kerigan McNamara, freshman Teagan McNamara, sophomore Olivia Savage and senior Meredith Smietanski. The Eagles are coached by Kim Pacella.
Sisters Teagan and Kerigan McNamara also participated in the OHSAA State doubles tournament Oct. 23.
Individual awards were First Team, All TRAC League: Teagan and Kerigan; Second Team, All TRAC League: Nina, Lindsay and Meredith; and Honorable Mention, All TRAC League: Jordan and Abigail.
All District awards were First Team: Kerigan and Teagan and Honorable Mention: Lindsay and Meredith.
