Youth compete in foul shooting contest

TOLEDO—The 60th Annual CYO Basketball Foul Shooting Contest was held Jan. 18 at Toledo St. Patrick of Heatherdowns and Toledo St. Joan of Arc parishes.

Sixty-five girls took part in the contest at St. Patrick and 123 boys competed at St. Joan of Arc.

The following are the winners and runners-up in each division:

Fifth-grade Girls
Champion: Jazmyn Worthy of Toledo Blessed Sacrament
Runner-up: Maya Jones of Toledo St. Patrick of Heatherdowns

Sixth-grade Girls
Champion: Kali Hardy of Rossford All Saints
Runner-up: Maggie Merren of Kateri Catholic Academy

Seventh-grade Girls
Champion: Abigail Sarabia of Toledo Queen of Apostles School
Runner-up: Teagan McNamara of Toledo St. Joan of Arc

Eighth-grade Girls
Champion: Tori Shoen of Toledo Regina Coeli
Runner-up: Margaret Rode of Toledo Christ the King

High School Girls
Champion: Melanie Worley of Sylvania St. Joseph
Runner-up: Rachel Kalinoski of Toledo St. Pius X

Fifth-grade Boys
Champion: Nick Best of Sylvania Franciscan Academy
Runner-up: Jacob Linenkugel of Toledo St. Pius X

Sixth-grade Boys
Champion: Alec Truckor of Assumption Holy Trinity
Runner-up: Sean Rattay of Toledo St. Joan of Arc

Seventh-grade Boys
Champion: Christian Miller of Toledo St. John’s Jesuit Academy
Runner-up: Bobby Romstadt of Kateri Catholic Academy

Eighth-grade Boys
