Working with students from six other colleges, the young adults are to spend their spring break remodeling homes for those less fortunate. They return March 26.

The Newman Catholic Association is a campus ministry organization for students from The Ohio State University at Lima, James A. Rhodes State College and the University of Northwestern Ohio. The student organization was established three years ago and now has 30 active members, according to campus minister Sandy Connell.

Other recent activities sponsored by the group include a presentation by Fran Thompson titled “A Makeover of the Mind, Body and Soul” and a raffle for Haiti relief.

The students raised $1,383 for Haiti through the sale of raffle tickets. Prizes included two weekend trips to the Savannah Bed & Breakfast in Cincinnati, which were awarded to Janet Anderson and Larry Webb. The top ticket sellers were Mindy Pellegrini and Desiray Goedde.
