TOLEDO—The Diocese of Toledo brought its centenary celebration to a close on Pentecost Sunday by honoring 150 Catholics for their outstanding service to the local church.

Eleven individuals received the Benemerenti Medal, a papal honor granted at the request of the local bishop, and 139 representatives from parishes and other institutions received a diocesan Centenary Award for Outstanding Service during the solemn vespers service that was held June 12 at Toledo Rosary Cathedral.
