TOLEDO—Between the work of many volunteers and grant funding, the Padua Center in Toledo was fitted with new windows this spring.
Located in the former rectory of Toledo St. Anthony of Padua on Nebraska Avenue, the center is a community-based presence that works to empower people at all stages of life to achieve their maximum potential through education, counseling, support and community involvement.

Although the historical home is in good repair, updates like new windows help make it more comfortable and user-friendly for the variety of people and activities using the community space.
A Stranahan Foundation grant and matching funds from the Office of Global Concerns of the Catholic Diocese of Toledo, allowed the center to purchase 58 new windows. Volunteer groups from Delphos St. John and Bluffton St. Mary provided the workers to replace the old windows. Additional financial donations from the Bluffton Mom-to-Mom group provided meals for the volunteers.
The Padua Center relies on donations, grants and the support of volunteers for its funding and outreach.
